Erin is dedicated to managing the Optimal Investment Office services. She brings 14 years experience in service of advisor partners of Optimal Advisor Solutions (OAS), including operations and account maintenance, custodian and transfer agent assistance. Previously Erin assisted advisors at Morgan Stanley with client services, administrative, and human resources support.

Jay Batcha CIMA

Founder and Chief Investment Officer

Jay is a 37-year veteran of the investment industry. As the principal architect of all Optimal strategies, Jay specializes in producing superior risk adjusted returns through sophisticated forward looking asset allocation techniques. Prior to founding Optimal Capital, Jay directed the Global Wealth Management Group presence in Northern Michigan for Morgan Stanley. Since the founding of Optimal Capital in 2006, he has cultivated a network of experienced private equity professionals to derive access and the expertise necessary to make investments in exclusive, boutique direct private investment opportunities.

Isaac Russell

Senior Associate, Private Capital

Isaac has 5 years of experience in the investment industry. He started as an intern with Optimal Capital in 2018 and joined the firm in a permanent role in 2019 after graduating from Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics. As Senior Associate of Private Capital, Isaac’s responsibilities include serving on Optimal’s Investment Committee and performing analysis and business development of opportunities sourced through the Optimal Private Capital Platform.

Robert Whims

General Counsel

Robert’s finance background and depth of legal experience enables him to provide seasoned guidance to Optimal Capital Advisors clients. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Western Districts of Michigan, Wisconsin, and the Southern District of California. He is a member of the California State Bar and served as a Deputy District Attorney in both Orange County and San Diego County for over 10 years. Born in Detroit, Robert graduated from the University of Michigan Undergraduate School of Business in 1984, majoring in finance. He attended Pepperdine University School of Law on an academic scholarship and was a member of the Law Review there and graduated in 1988.
